How to Fix Epson ET-2760 Noise and Print Quality Issues

Question:
Kevin! I've loved your YouTube channel and even picked up some great tips there. Recently, however, my Epson ET-2760 printer alarmed me by starting to make more noise than before during printing. Even though no error codes are showing, the print quality could use some cleaning on the nozzles: after several cleanings, it will not be solved through regular or deep cleaning. The first two pages print well, and the noise disappears, but by the third page, there are striations, and the noises continue. I have run several cleaning cycles (equals) several days now, and the problem still keeps recurring. Would you happen to know what might be wrong?

Answer:

Thank you very much for contacting us, We are genuinely sorry that it has taken so long to respond. We completely understand the frustration and hurry a printer problem brings, and we will always try to treat every issue with the most careful attention possible. Your concern and support for us, primarily through our YouTube channel [https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies], mean a lot, and we thrive on the feedback that enables us to keep improving our service.

Based on your symptoms, such as loud noises during printing, splotches after three pages, and return of color fading, your problem may be the LD gear inside the printer. That is not an everyday clogged printhead problem, although cleaning the heads has some temporary effects.

This can happen from the LD gear, closely related to the mechanical system that feeds paper. I observed that once paper feeds are feeding downwards, the noise seems to get worse. This points to a problem with the interaction between the LD gear and the duplexer, causing a loud noise. This may also explain why, after cleaning, the noise goes away for a moment but then returns when you've printed several more times. I've experienced similar problems, and I once made a video on YouTube covering the LD gear problem: Epson ET-2760 Gear Issue [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkj1-tOecTU]. However, this combination of print quality and noise issues is extraordinary and not commonly found. I would enjoy seeing your printer so we can develop more experience. If you're local, I can certainly look at it in person. It's not a common problem but involves the gear drive more than the printhead chore. That's why the stages of cleaning don't solve anything underneath.

If you have a printer problem, troubleshooting or repairing the equipment remotely isn't easy. We don't offer remote troubleshooting, suggestions, or support for printer repairs. The owner chose this address and brought us closer to home as the local diagnostic facility. You can visit us here: Printer Repair Service [https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service]. Because we have many client requests, we take them chronologically, and it may be over weeks before your printer is fixed. We provide both general printer and part-specific repairs with walk-in or mail-in service. If you'd like to tackle things yourself, we recommend referring to YouTube for helpful how-to or troubleshooting, including those hosted on our own [YouTube channel](https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies). Not only does YouTube's search function offer souped-up possibilities for finding sites devoted to related topics, but out of all the channels available, it might also wisely suggest presentations by someone who helped you out.

Once again, thank you for your patience and continued support of BCH Technologies. I hope this information helps.
