How do you reset Epson 212 & 212XL Ink Cartridges for the Epson WF2850 printer?

Question:
Is the T2XX Chip Resetter suitable for Epson 212 and 212XL cartridges for Epson WF2850, or what can I do about those cartridges or conversion?

Thank you for contacting us. I am sorry that we did not respond quickly. Our viewers only watch us when they have a problem, so they don’t have much time. To answer your question:
No, the T2XX Chip Resetter is incompatible with Epson 212 or 212XL cartridges. All of our resetters explicitly list the models they support, and if your cartridge model is not mentioned, the resetter will not work for it.

What alternatives are there for resetting Epson 212 cartridges?

The outdated ARC technology and resetters are gradually replaced by chipless software tools for the new printer, such as the Epson WF2850. The following can be accomplished.
Chipless Software
Cartridge Resets and Tutorials
  • InkChip also offers waste ink tank reset services. Find out more on InkChip WIC (https://inkchip.net/wic) and tutorial video on Youtube: Waste Ink Tank Reset (https://youtu.be/sDsdLoaMX-w)
  • You can follow the detailed steps on the installation of chipless software from this video: InkChip Chipless Guide (https://youtu.be/F78BuqBW22Q)
Increased Visibility of Ink Levels
  • Chipless printers don't have ink-level monitoring on the LCD panel. This is why we recommend using transparent third-party cartridges, which allow you to check the ink levels visually.
  • Although we do not sell any Epson-compatible cartridges, they can often be found on eBay. #3 – Refillable or Empty OEM CartridgesSearch for OEM cartridges that are refillable or empty and generally run $1-$2 each
Discount Code
  • InkChip occasionally has a sale. We previously used this code, kevin9966, for 10% off, but it might not always work.

Chipless vs Resetters: Why You Need to Choose the Right One?
Chipless solutions are more suited to newer models and do away with the need to reset the cartridges entirely. They are best when pairing printer work with regular usage in one or more places and offer a cost-effective, long-term solution for frequent printing tasks. However, resetters still apply if your printer model is older and can often be found on eBay with keywords such as “waste ink reset.”
