BCH Shipments Are 100% Carbon Neutral!

Respect the environment? Start with ink!

Did you know that the average office worker uses 10,000 pieces of paper each year? As a result, millions of used-up ink cartridges are tossed in the trash. These cartridges can take many years to decompose, leaving plenty of time for toxic chemicals to spill into the ground and pollute the surrounding environment. In addition, ink cartridges are made with a plastic shell, heavily consuming fossil fuels. These cartridges also contain heavy metals, including manganese and silicon for deoxidation, nickel for anti-corrosion, chromium, zinc for galvanizing, tin, molybdenum, vanadium, and tungsten. More troubling still, of the 1.3 billion cartridges used annually worldwide, less than 30% are recycled or disposed of in an eco-friendly way.

By reusing ink cartridges instead of buying new ones, you can limit your impact and help reduce the number of cartridges thrown into landfills.

Many people don't realize that ink cartridges can be modified and refilled many times. Just think about all the plastic you could save if you only had to buy refill ink instead of a whole new cartridge! This is a simple, convenient way to reduce your carbon footprint. You can also save money, as it costs less to refill cartridges than to buy new ones.

Since 2011, BCH Technologies has served 247,380 customers from 196 countries. We've provided 1,602,270 bottles of high-quality refill ink, which is enough to refill 10,681,800 cartridges. As a result, customers reduced 51,273 metric tons of CO2 greenhouse gas by choosing BCH.That's equivalent to the annual emission of 11,146 cars and prevented the earth from enduring ten days of printer cartridge waste. At BCH, we are on a mission. Will you join us?

We're stepping up to help the environment.

BCH makes it a point to reduce and reuse, from manufacturing to shipping. Our packing incorporates many reused materials, and we plan to expand our unique shipping and delivery process in 2022. BCH helps make this possible by partnering with EcoCart to deploy carbon-neutral shipments. EcoCart utilizes a global network of reputable suppliers to help offset carbon emissions. Its services have offset 25,870,932 pounds of CO2 and saved 848,214 trees.

But what is a carbon offset and how does it work?

In a nutshell, carbon offsets are a process to reduce the effects of climate change by funding renewable energy, forestry, and clean water projects. These projects reduce CO2 and other greenhouse gasses to compensate for emissions made elsewhere. Carbon offset credits are certified to represent a reduction in emissions by one metric ton of CO2. Offset credits aren't actual items, but units of measurement used to represent a net climate benefit.

Here's how it works: customers can add a BCH product to their online cart. Then, EcoCart's algorithm determines the exact cost of offsetting the emissions. After that, BCH will pay for the price of carbon offset for the order. Therefore, there will be no cost to you, and your entire order is carbon neutral. As you can see below, BCH is making 100% of Orders Carbon Neutral.

This example shows BCH is contributing to the carbon offset.  The customer's contribution is OFF (by default).

What if I want to do more?

If you're on board with BCH's vision, you can double your impact by adding a small amount during checkout. To do this, you can turn the button to ON, and you will see a certification seal in your cart. In this way, we can plan twice as many trees and clean twice as much air.

This examples shows a customer is opted in and contributing to offset 30 lbs of carbon. The carbon lb is not the weight of the actual order.  Instead, it is the amount of the carbon an order will generate.

Each ink refill will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save 600-1000 years of electronic and plastic pollution.
