Question

I'm having trouble with my rollers not stopping. I'm looking for the side panel piece where the forward and backwards buttons feed the paper through. I need the panel piece and possibly the cord. I have replaced everything Procolor has told me and I'm getting the run around. Printer R1390 Epson

Answer

Thank you for contacting us at BCH Technologies. We appreciate your engagement and support, particularly with our YouTube channel BCH Technologies (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies). Your feedback is invaluable in further developing our technical expertise.

Firstly, it may not be an issue with the button itself. I have tested Procolored cards and found that their logic boards could be more reliable. If possible, request Procolored to send you another breakout board, as this might resolve the issue more effectively.

If you still prefer to replace the button, you can find a suitable replacement here: 200 Assorted Buttons (https://amzn.to/46hmxPN). This set includes 200 buttons, so you should be able to find one that fits your printer model.

However, I strongly believe that the problem may not lie with the button. Here are a few steps to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check Your Software Settings: From your RIP software, select "roll feed" rather than "sheet feed." This adjustment can sometimes resolve feed issues.
  2. Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer's main switch and then turn it back on. This action will reset the logic board and can help resolve many operational problems.
  3. Monitor the Breakout Board: If, after finishing printing, you find that the forward/backward button doesn't work, it is a sign that the breakout board is malfunctioning, although the printer seems working fine.

Addressing printer issues can be a complicated affair due to the hands-on nature of the problems. Therefore, we are not able to provide remote troubleshooting, suggestions, or support for printer repairs. We offer an in-person evaluation and repair service via our local diagnostic facility BCH Technologies Printer Repair Service (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service). Given the high demand, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so it might take a few weeks before we can get to your printer if you decide to drop it off or mail it to us. Our services are structured to repair either the whole printer or specific parts, with clear instructions on how to proceed if you opt for mail-in or local drop-off services.

However, we acknowledge that our rates might not be the most economical. Therefore, we highly recommend resorting to self-help via online research. You can start by checking out YouTube or visiting our YouTube channel's homepage (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies). Look for specific videos using the search icon next to "About" on the right-hand side of the menu bar. I receive dozens of queries daily asking about videos for specific topics. Having created videos over the past nine years, it is challenging to remember every single one. Therefore, using YouTube's search function would be the most efficient. Plus, YouTube might suggest relevant videos from other channels that could assist you.

Thank you once again for reaching out to us. We appreciate your support and hope this information helps resolve your printer issue.
