Shipping & Delivery

There are two processes.  

  • Shipping: BCH prepares and gives the order to the delivery company (USPS, FedEx, UPS, and Direct Link).  
  • Delivery: the delivery company transport and deliver the product.

Warning: BCH will not cover any delivery problems (full disclosure below), but the delivery is insured against loss, damage, and stolen.

 

Shipping

Processing Time

We usually ship the product within 24 hours after an order's payment is cleared if the item is in stock. In some situations, it may take up to a few days for processing. You may not get a shipment confirmation email due to your email provider's whitelist setting. However, you can always log in to your account and track the shipment. For customers who select Next-Day or 1-Day shipping methods, please be warned: The delivery method (NextDay, 1/2/3-Day) is offered by the carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx...). The delivery process starts when we drop the shipment off at the carrier. Please consider added processing time. We will use the delivery method that you select. However, if the carrier delays the delivery, please understand delivery is entirely beyond our control.

  • Example 1. USPS offers a 2-Day Priority service to California. Based on our experience, however, USPS is rarely able to deliver to California in two days.
  • Example 2. A customer ordered on Saturday. We will ship on Monday (if the product is in stock).
  • Example 3. A customer paid UPS 2nd Day Air and wonders why it didn't arrive the next day. The 2nd Day Air means you get it within two business days after it is SHIPPED. It doesn't mean you get it the next day you ORDERED
  • Example 4. A customer order at 3:00 PM on Tuesday. The order passed the 10:00 AM EST cutoff, so it will be shipped on Wednesday.

BCH Does Not Control Delivery Speeds

Including Options Like NextDay, 2nd Day, and Overnight Shipping

While we offer various shipping options, we advise against selecting NextDay or 2nd Day shipping. The reason is simple: while customers naturally expect prompt deliveries with these options, the actual delivery timelines are beyond our control. We don't profit extra from these choices; we genuinely aim to expedite the order fulfillment. But when things don't go as planned, carriers like UPS, FedEx, or USPS seldom face the repercussions—instead, we do. We've contemplated removing these options but understand that some customers genuinely require faster shipping. For instance, a customer who orders at 8 AM on a Friday gives us a 24-hour business window for fulfillment. We could process it the following Monday and still be within our Service Level Agreement (SLA). However, we often expedite and hand over the package to UPS within hours. But with UPS not operating on Saturdays, they deliver on Monday. So, who gets the brunt of customer dissatisfaction? We do. A gentle reminder: If you choose NextDay on a Friday, expect a Monday or Tuesday delivery since NextDay refers to the next business day, Also, you need to add in fulfillment time.  If your Friday order is post our shipping cutoff or there is a problem during fulfillment, it ships on Monday, meaning a Tuesday delivery.

Fulfillment Cutoff Time

  • We open Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM (US EST).
  • The cutoff time for shipping is 10:00 AM EST, Monday to Friday. We sometimes do a final sweep before noon before the pick up, but it's not guaranteed. 
  • We are closed during weekends.
  • We are closed for major holidays (check USPS's holiday schedule).

Address Verification

To ensure that your order is fulfilled, please note that Economy and USPS services are exclusively offered to USPS serviceable addresses. BCH employs the USPS database to validate each address, and if an address is flagged by USPS as "not serviceable" and Economy Shipping or USPS Shipping is selected for the order, BCH will automatically cancel the order. If your order is cancelled, you may resubmit it using alternative services, such as UPS or FedEx, as long as they are not Economy or USPS. If you are aware that the address is not serviceable by USPS, please select a service other than Economy or USPS to avoid cancellation.

Combined Shipping

Our combined shipping policy states that we may combine multiple orders being shipped to the same address and ordered by the same customer at our discretion. Please note that we will not provide refunds for any shipping differences resulting from the combination of orders, as this requires extra handling and effort on our part. To save on shipping charges, customers are encouraged to order items together.
If you want to send them separately, you must create two orders to different addresses (or the same street address but with different suites, box numbers, or attention).

For example, these two orders will not be combined. 1) Names are different and 2) The attention or internal box number is different. We only combine orders with the same name and exactly same address.

How do I Track My Order?

Manual Tracking

  • Track by log into your account:
    • For domestic orders, you can always log in to your account and track the shipment. Once you log into your account, you can see the order, current status, and tracking number.
    • For international orders through Direct Link, you will need to copy the tracking number and go to this address: https://tracking.directlink.com and put the tracking number in the "Item Number."  Before a package is handed to the customs, you can use DirectLink's website to track the USA's package movement.  After the customs accept the package, you can use either DirectLink's website or your local postal system, such as Canadian Post, to track the package. The tracking will show the package is from Sweden. Direct Link is a private postal carrier licensed in Sweden. The package will travel from North Carolina -> New York (Direct Link's warehouse)-> your country. However, a postal parcel has to show the licensee's registered country in a no-man's land. For example, the box left the US but hasn't reached your country's customs. Therefore, the tracking will show New York -> Sweden -> your country.  Once the customs inspection is done, the package will be handed to your country's postal system.  You will be able to use your country's postal office's tracking system (same tracking number).  The tracking number will show the package from Sweden because Direct Link is registered as a Swedish Postal Licensee.  
  • Track with Route email:
    • You will receive an email from Route with your order. With Route, you will be able to visually track your online orders and monitor progress with timely push notifications.

International Shipping

We ship to almost all country/region

We ship to almost every country/region around the world. However, we restrict the shipping in a few countries. The decision is based on years of experience dealing with these countries' customs and delivery systems.  

Countries that we do not ship to:

  1. Mexico. We do not ship to this country by any means.
  2. Greece. No Direct Link. FedEx Only
  3. Russia
  4. Ukraine

Customers are responsible for Customs Clearance, Duty, and More

For all international orders, please note that BCH is unable to manage customs clearance, duties, or any related matters. Given that we deliver to 196 countries and territories, each with its distinct customs protocol, our support is limited to attaching a shipping label to your package. We cannot engage with customs authorities on your behalf.

Customers bear the responsibility of supplying a valid phone number and establishing contact with customs, or enlisting the services of a clearance agent to facilitate this. If customs seizes and returns a shipment, please understand that BCH will not offer compensation.

A significant number of customs offices require a valid phone number for clearance. If such information is not provided at the point of order, we regret that we are unable to add it to your shipping label after the fact.

What is a package is returned?

It is our policy that all of our international customers bear the responsibility for settling any import duties, managing customs clearances, maintaining a valid and accessible shipping address, and being prepared to accept their deliveries. We have encountered instances where packages were rejected by customs. Occasionally, customs officials may need to contact the recipient directly to discuss the contents of a package, requiring a valid phone number to be provided with the order. There are also situations where, if customs officials cannot reach the recipient, or if the recipient refuses to accept the package, it is sent back to us. In some cases, recipients may receive a bill for duties and taxes from customs and choose not to pay it, resulting in the package being returned. Additionally, in certain countries, packages may be held at a local post office, requiring the recipient to retrieve them in a timely manner. There are also instances where a customer may change their mind and refuse to accept a package, under the mistaken belief that it will be returned to us without incurring any additional costs.

Please be aware that there are significant return fees charged by the carrier for all rejected packages, typically amounting to 1.5 to 2 times the original shipping cost. As such, in the event that we receive a returned international package, we are only able to offer a refund of the product's price. The initial shipping cost is non-refundable under any circumstances, and we require payment of the return shipping fee before we can process the refund.

How much does it cost?

To view the shipping cost, please add a product to your cart and then click "View/Edit Cart." On the Shopping Cart page, click "Add Info" next to shipping. Then, you can add your postal code and get estimates from different carriers. 

We have a few shipping options. Direct Link is a Swedish Post associate and takes the longest Route. However, it is the most economical but takes about 3-5 weeks. Each package is collected by the Direct Link's warehouse first; then, it will re-dispatch your country's postal system. You will receive the package as a registered mail/package from your mailman.

FedEx/USPS means we will pick the best rate between FedEx and USPS. The arrival date is about half of the Direct Link.

Delivery

BCH Will Not Cover Delivery Problems

At BCH, we focus on making the best product and shipping the product on time. However, the delivery process is not our expertise. We can't direct the USPS, FedEx, or Direct Link to conduct their businesses or send someone looking for a stolen package. Under the circumstances of a box is damaged, missing, or stolen, we understand the customer paid for the item and wants to be compensated. Therefore, we paid for shipping insurance with every order, so neither of us needs to worry about the delivery.

Because the beneficiary of the insurance is the customer, the customer needs to monitor the shipment and claim it. BCH will not re-ship any order or refund any order if the package is not received under any circumstances (because they are fully covered by insurance). BCH would not compensate or resend any order if the customer failed to file the claim on time.

Basic Timeline

  1. Tracking says "delivered," but it is not:
    • After five days of "delivery date."
    • Before 15 days of "delivery date."
  1. Tracking didn't show delivery (stuck)
    • After:
      • USA: After the tracking stuck for more than seven days
      • International: After the tracking stuck for more than 20 days
    • Before: Both USA and International need to be filed before 30 days of the last checkpoint on the tracking info.
  1. Damaged and Other Problem with Delivery:

The insurance covers some damages. Please check the Route's policy page: https://help.route.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041131194-Route-Package-Protection-Policies. If the damage is not covered by insurance, please contact support@bchtechnologies.com and let us know.

Returned Packages

If a package is returned to BCH for any reason, there are two choices:
1) If you still want the product, we will send you a PayPal invoice for the following shipment cost. After the invoice is paid, we will send out the package. 2) If you do not want the product anymore, we will refund the product cost, but the original shipping will not be refunded.

What if the tracking says "delivered," but it is not?  

You can relax. Every BCH order is covered by Route+, a premium package insurance protection policy backed by Lloyds of London. BCH fully pays the Route+ insurance, so there will be absolutely no charge for you. When you file a claim, it will be reviewed for approval for a reorder or refund within 24 hours.

Order issues for packages marked "delivered" yet not received are considered by Route as stolen. They must be filed five days after "delivery date" but no longer than 15 days to ensure it was not misdelivered or easily found around the premises.

What if my order never arrives or is stolen?

You can relax. Every BCH order is covered by Route+, a premium package insurance protection policy backed by Lloyds of London. BCH fully pays the Route+ insurance, so there will be absolutely no charge for you. When you file a claim, it will be reviewed for approval for a reorder or refund within 24 hours. 

Order issues for packages presumed to be lost by the carrier (where the status is not "delivered") must be filed no sooner than seven days after the scheduled delivery date for United States domestic shipments (20 days for international shipments, including Canada and within 30 days from the last checkpoint.

What if the package arrived damaged?

You can relax. Every BCH order is covered by Route+, a premium package insurance protection policy backed by Lloyds of London. BCH fully pays the Route+ insurance, so there will be absolutely no charge for you. When you file a claim, it will be reviewed for approval for a reorder or refund within 24 hours.

How do I file a claim for my lost, stolen, or damaged order?

If you installed the Route app on your phone, you could file claims effortlessly through the app. Otherwise, after BCH fulfills your order, you will receive a confirmation email from Route with a link for filing a claim. You can also file a claim here: https://claims.route.com/. Note: Make sure to have the Order ID we sent you or the Route Order ID ready to use with the claim form.

* ALL ORDERS or EVERY ORDER means orders placed after 5/22/2020, except canceled orders.

**Claims for packages marked "delivered" must be filed after five days and before 15 days from the date the box was marked "delivered." Claims for packages presumed to be lost (where the status is not "delivered") must be filed after seven days (20 days for international) and within 30 days from the last checkpoint. The term is based on Route's claim policy as of May 27, 2020. The terms may change without notice. Please check Rout's website (http://help.route.com) for the most updated information.

Does Route+ cover stolen items?

Yes! All BCH's online orders are insured with Route+, stolen items* are eligible for reorders or refunds.

Is Route a licensed insurance company?

Yes. The Route is a licensed insurance company with the biggest name in shipping insurance as its partner, Lloyds of London -- the company that famously insured Jennifer Lopez's buttocks. At BCH, we treat your order as valuable as JLo's most prized asset.

How Much is the Shipping?

We offer flat shipping for any size orders within the USA, discounted international shipping with Direct Link, and shipping quotes from many suppliers. To view an accurate shipping quote, you can add the item to your cart, View or Edit Cart, then click "Add Info" on the Shipping section.

How long does it take for me to receive the order?

Continental USA

On average, it should reach your door in three to five business days.

International Shipping

We ship international orders via Direct Link. The customer is responsible for customs clearance and associated fees. We cannot guarantee global delivery time, but shipments usually arrive in 3-5 weeks.

Liquidated Damages and Liabilities

Using a third-party refill product, there is an inherent risk of voiding the printer's warranty, triggering printer damage, causing property damage, wasting time, and bringing about bodily injury or emotional trauma. If the fault is on us, the best we can do in such a situation is refund the product purchase's total amount. If the fault is caused by improper use of the product, BCH doesn't issue any compensation. We do not cover any damages caused by our product. Additionally, please cover up the refill area with newspaper and do not put ink bottles on antique furniture. Also, wear gloves and eye protection. If you are not comfortable with the idea that refilling may damage the printer, please stay with OEM products.
